Flip this switch to break the phone addiction

These days It’s become rare that a hack is actually such.  So many “hacks” require 101 easy steps. That’s why The Atlantic Senior Editor James Hamblin's video lesson on how (and why) to use turn your iPhone screen gray caught my attention last week.  Why would you want to deny yourself the technicolor color screen that you pay big bucks for?  It’s those exact colors that lure you to check your phone every five minutes.  When seeing your digital world in black and white, you supposedly turn to it less.

My screen has been gray for three days and it absolutely works.

Here are the steps to unshackle yourself, but absolutely watch Hamblin’s video here first.

Settings > General > Accessibility > Grayscale

Will you give it a try?  Have you tested any other tools or tricks for breaking a phone addiction? Please share in the comments!
