Got hundreds of tote bags? Here’s what to do with them.

Tote bags are one of those items that regenerate as soon as you get rid of them. They’re also one of those items that are likely to be stashed in at least 5 different places in the house. Once you (or the organizer) consolidate them, you stare in horror at the pile. So, you donate a couple, put a couple in your car, and put the rest by the kitchen door, but then a few months later, you’re drowning again. It must be an American epidemic because the New York Times just posted an article, What To Do With All Those Tote Bags. It shares various uses for the totes and necessary info on how often to wash them. My best advice: stop bringing them home, even if they’re free!
