How I used Evernote this week to store my gift ideas

For three years running I’ve been working off of a note in my “Personal” notebook called “Gift ideas.”  Throughout the year this is where I drop in ideas and links to potential gifts for family members, my husband, and even myself.  It’s a good place to keep track of some wants, not needs, to have on hand when someone asks “what do you want?”  (Curious?  A Nest thermostat, a fancy water filter, and brown velvet pillows for the couch.) Mostly though, it’s for gifting to others.  This is the first Christmas where it reached a critical mass that made it feel truly useful.  I’ve already purchased 3 items from my Evernote list this season!  It was such a relief to find it a few weeks ago, knowing that these ideas were waiting for me in one useful space.
