How I Used Evernote to Pack Efficiently for the Beach

This week Nic, my fiancé, and I are in the Outer Banks staying about 30 miles from the nearest grocery store. Food snobs that we are, we (or at least I) plan out the menu and grocery shopping list about two weeks in advance, practically bring the entire grocery store with us.  I mean, what's the beach without homemade Chimichurri?? It's an annual trip, so last year I created a note in Evernote called "OBX Grocery List." This year I resurrected last year's list and just made some edits according to the menu and recalling some things that the vacation home was without (hello - a chef's knife!).  I added the note to Nic's and my shared notebook, so we could each watch each other's shopping progress throughout the week. Yup, I was a little obsessed with this list… It's pretty extensive, color-coding, linked recipes and more:

Categories are: - Meat - Cheese - Produce - Other - Drinks - Recipes - Make Ahead - Non Food

Are you always reinventing the wheel when it comes to any sort of list-making?  How can you use Evernote to eat better, plan your vacations better, share notes with a partner or spouse?
