How to maximize the backs of your doors

When getting acquainted with a client’s home or office, I always look at the back of their doors. Most of the time they are blank, while items desperately in need of storage sit nearby on the floor.  In this case, a small utility room off of an office needed attention.  The answer was clear: the elfa Door & Wall Rack at The Container Store.  You can either purchase one of their pre-arranged systems, or choose baskets a la carte as I did.

Here’s the demystified break-down of this exact system:

- 1 - 77.75” elfa Mounted Standard Platinum

- 1 - set of 2 elfa Utility Residential Overdoor Hooks Platinum set of 2

- 2 - elfa Utility Small Basket Platinum

- 2 - elfa Utility Small Basket Platinum

- 2 - elfa Utility Small Basket Platinum

If your door is shorter than 77.75”, elfa will cut the spine to fit - even if ordering online.  I recommend you cut yours to about 1.5” shorter than your door.
