Los Angeles has one less messy office
L.A. has always been at the top of my list of American cities to visit, which is why I was thrilled when the stars aligned for me to work with a lovely woman in Northridge, CA in early November. I spent three days exploring one of my new favorite cities and three and a half days organizing one of its' home offices in need. In the midst of hikes in Malibu and phenomenal restaurants, this office (pictured here) is where I felt the most at home. After all of the planning and traveling, walking into this room put my mind at ease. I knew exactly what to do. Like with my clients here in DC, she spoke to the fact that this is something she’s capable of doing on her own, but needed the focus, accountability, and immediacy of working directly with an organizer within some very real time constraints.
To make a long story short, we let go of and consolidated supplies and paper. The result: clearly grouped and labeled supplies, files in 3 (and only 3!) places, a clear desk, floor and head, and finally the time to walk on the beach and to focus on her next career.
