My favorite bread recipe

As much as I love homemade bread, I can’t not share my favorite recipe since everyone seems to be chiming in on this subject these days. I have a new appreciation for its simplicity after venturing into the world of sourdough. After acquiring a sourdough starter a few weeks ago I baked my first sourdough loaf. As excited as I was, I was worried that sourdough would ruin me and I’d be beholden to a life of kneading and feeding a starter.

For 10/x the work of my go-to recipe, I wasn’t impressed. I’ve made The Comfort of Cooking’s No-Knead Crusty Artisan Bread dozens of times. You will need a dutch oven, yeast, flour, and salt. Aside from that, great add-ins are garlic, olives, and rosemary. Right before it goes in the oven I top with a generous amount of chunky Seasonello herbal salt. I recently discovered that replacing 1 cup of AP flour with whole wheat takes it from great to exceptional.

If you make it please let me know how it turns out! If you have a favorite bread recipe, please share!
