My new focus den in NW DC

One change I’ve made since reading The Organized Mind is that I do different tasks in different places, using geography to train my brain to focus on a specific task.  When you try to do everything on one computer screen in one chair, nothing gets done.  Now, mindless surfing and emails happen at the dining table.  Newsletters are written at my desk.  All other writing (i.e.: the hard stuff) is done at my new favorite cafe.

Residents of upper NW/Chevy Chase/Bethesda/Silver Spring, am I the last to discover the basement cafe of Politics & Prose??  Recently renovated (but yet to be announced on their site), the cafe of the legendary independent DC bookstore is stylish, comfortable, and bright.  Add on a delicious fresh menu, the best chocolate chip cookie in town, parking, and WINE, and suddenly I have reason to leave home.

You won’t find much info on their site, let alone images, so just drop in.
