Check out my wooden laptop keyboard

Why not deck your keyboard out in real rosewood?  So seldom does my head turn like it did when I spotted this wooden keyboard on Instagram.  Drool.  Click buy.  I was defenseless against the expanse of woodgrain spread across all that cold aluminum.

Pros: - It’s as sexy as a laptop can be. - Since I don’t have a glorious mid-century rosewood credenza, this scratches the itch. - Considering how much time I spend each day on the laptop, I love the feeling of my fingers against a natural element, not plastic.

Cons: - It’s not a con for me, but you may find the application process to be tedious.  I used tweezers and didn’t do it all in one sitting. - Hides the backlight: The only con is the poor pass-through of light via the laser cut-outs.  Though the cut-outs are a necessary touch, you have to move your head to hover directly on top of the keyboard to see the key details in the dark.  I never realized how dependent I am on seeing the keys!  Time will tell if this feature is prohibitively poor.  In the meantime, I’m becoming a better “blind” typer as soon as the sun goes down.
