How I used Evernote this week to track my Indian cooking
One of the best gifts I’ve received was from my sister last Christmas: the 660 Curries cookbook. My relationship with Indian food is healthy, passionate, and growing, especially now that I’m not dependent on Indian restaurants! After a few trips to the Indian grocer to round out my spice supply, I was off and running. Absolutely every recipe from this book has been outstanding, and the Coconut Chicken I made last week is perhaps the best meal I’ve ever made. Nic agreed.
660 Curries has no photos though! I'm cooking blind each time. With Evernote, I’ve been able to compile a collection of photos of every dish I’ve cooked, alongside page numbers and notes. Without Evernote, the images would hide somewhere on my phone, detached from any notes. Originally, I just wanted a record, but as I cook more I’m realizing it’s nice to have a picture menu of sorts to refer to when I’m in the mood to bring out my spice box!
