[New video!] How to sort memorabilia
Sorting through curated memories nearly always conjures smiles and storytelling. It’s such a joy to walk down memory lane with my clients.
There are two problems though that are common:
Memorabilia is scattered.
Memorabilia has become utterly unruly.
In this video I tackle problem #2 by sorting through my own memorabilia to show you how to break your past into categories. (I also have some non-paper mementos, but this is a deep sort of the paper ones: the tickets, nieces' art, travel memories, friends’ wedding invitations, and much more.)
My own memorabilia boxes in the bedroom closet had started to take up more room than I felt they should. I also realized that I had room in my files. So, if I was going to file away some memories to make more shelf space, they needed to be broken down into folders. There’s a photo at 8:50 listing the exact categories I used to file most of it away, cutting my memories down from 2 boxes to 1.
Please leave a comment sharing how you sort and store your memories, and if you have any unique categories of memorabilia. Enjoy!
