[New video!] Minimalism Tutorial - The College Art Project
I’ve observed that there's something seemingly off-limits about donating anything handmade. It could be from a friend, child, or family member, and it’s equally true for our own handmade items. Just because it’s handmade though, doesn’t mean you have to keep it forever. That is what I told myself when I decided to say goodbye to my college fabric dyeing class final project. This dishtowel art was 18 years old when I finally let it go recently. I had used it until it was threadbare, which made my happy. (So many people don’t use things that are deemed too precious.) As with most items in my YouTube Minimalism Tutorial Series, this one was hard to part with, but I did it anyway. If we cling to everything that is a one of a kind, handmade, or a memento, then they bury us.
