Run your life in 25 minutes at a time

I can confidently say that I am fairly organized, but focus doesn’t come easily to me. For years now I’ve been relying heavily (maybe solely) on the Pomodoro technique. It is a simple method of working in 25 minute timed bursts with required breaks of 5 minutes in-between. In fact, I have a timer running right now as I type this post. With pomodoros, I can look back on the day and see exactly how much time I spent moving my life and business forward. Without them, I can blow through entire days and weeks without much to show for it.

That is why I was so excited to see the Pomodoro technique featured in the New York Times! This Time-Management Trick Changed My Whole Relationship With Time colors how the simplest of time management techniques can help us to not just get more done, but to appreciate the preciousness of the time we have.
